MUSE Wellness X JOON SPICE Summer Breakfast Broth

This summer has been nothing short of hot, fast and fun. This means that taking care of the nervous system, digestive health and immunity to stay nourished and present. During a trip to New York this brothy stew was everything my body needed, packed with our spices for digestion support and incredible flavor. Surprisingly, this was filling and gave me energy and support I needed. 

Who could have guessed this was what the people wanted and needed? Ciera of MUSE Wellness* shared this recipe with her summer cohort and they went IN on beautiful iterations and creative expressions that matched their personal needs. I was so inspired I knew I had to share so you could do the same. 

Here's the recipe that leveled up my morning breakfast routine.

Summer Breakfast Broth 

Ingredients - for measure, everything to taste 

Sautéed onion and garlic in olive oil. Add in turmeric, cumin, coriander black pepper cooked into the onions and garlic. Add in meat and add more spices.

*To crush the coriander - if you don't have a mortar and pistol feel free to put the seeds in a bowl and crush them with the back of a spoon.

*For the Longhi Chili Pepper - if you have a cheese grater grate this beautiful pepper to taste! I like to add a few seeds for an extra kick. 1 pepper is a perfect very low grade heat for this dish. Wonderful for digestion, inflammation and endorphins! If you're sensitive to heat, maybe skip it.

Once the meat begins to brown add in water (this is to help create the broth. Add 1/2 cup to start). Add more spices. Cook for 5 more minutes. Pour over greens (arugula, chopped green onion, cilantro). Squeeze the lime and you're ready.
