We are very proud to share with you our small varietal of coriander grown in the Tando Alla Yar District in the heart of Pakistan’s Sindh Province. The district is in the delta land of the Indus River and is grown in the same soils that fed the ancient peoples of the Indus River Valley Civilization.
Entirely composed of seeds from the Coriander Sativa Microcarpum varietal, these seeds are small with a diameter of about 1.5-3mm. They are extremely high in volatile oils and produce a warm, nutty spice that is extremely savory with subtle notes of orange and lemon.
Suggested Pairing: fenugreek, ginger, cumin, nutmeg
Benefits: can be used to cool down internal organs and emotions by adding a handful to a glass of water, allowing them to soak. Continually replenish throughout day to extend the effects.
In Ayurveda, coriander is recognized as a mild diuretic and is used to treat urinary tract infections. It's also used to treat skin conditions and is used to aid as a mosquito repellent.
